...But then again it's not really about me! I want to tell you a bit about my story through the people who have helped me along the way.

Back in 2008 my guitar teacher Dave Floreno introduced me to the music of The Campbell Brothers - it took me a solid 3 seconds of hearing the album "Can You Feel It?" to know what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Fast forward a few years, I dropped out of a local music school in Helsinki and made my first trip to New York City in January 2013. I started learning about steel guitar, music, and life under people like Chuck Campbell, Tomás Doncker, Ronny Drayton and Ira Siegel. It was during this time that I started my work as a member of the extended musical family of True Groove Records - first as a session musician and later as a member of the production team.

After several years of gigging, studying, and spending ever-increasing amounts of time in the US, I finally got my first pedal steel in 2017. The transition wasn't easy, but I was very fortunate to receive help from several pedal steel heavyweights. Along with Chuck, I have studied under people like Roosevelt Collier, AJ Ghent, Susan Alcorn, and Buck Reid.

Today, I have the honor of being the first pedal steel guitarist in Sibelius Academy at the University of the Arts, where I am completing my Master's Degree at the Global Music Department. I also work as a private teacher and do remote session work for clients.

If you made it all the way down here, thank you so much for your interest!
